  • Fishing the River

    Fish the River

With a shallow, rocky bottom, our stretch of the Mississippi is ideal for fishing, but has poor conditions for motor boats. What does that leave? Fishing from a canoe or kayak! With a gently flowing current void of any rapids, dams or falls, the paddling is relaxing and the fishing is spectacular. According to Field and Stream Online, the 47 mile stretch of the Mississippi between St. Cloud and Dayton (which includes our stretch) is in the top 10 for smallmouth river fishing in the United States! Many consider it world class due to the limited motor traffic, river accessibility, and special fishing regulations.

Basic Fishing Package: This includes parking, one specially equipped fishing kayak, life jacket, paddle and shuttle drop off or pick up along the Mississippi.

    • 8 mile River Trip (about 4-6 hrs on the water)
      • Tandem Canoe: $32/person
      • Solo Canoe or Fishing Kayak: $42/person
    • 13 mile River Trip (about 6-8 hrs on the water)
      • Tandem Canoe: $35/person
      • Solo Canoe or Fishing Kayak: $45/person

The sport of kayak fishing is one of the fastest growing sports in America!  Our rental fleet of fishing kayaks are specifically equipped to target the outstanding fishing available on our stretch of the Mississippi River. Use our fishing kayaks to get to the hot spots where motor boats can’t reach.  Magnify the excitement of landing a famous Mississippi Small Mouth, Walleye, monster Muskie, Pike, or Catfish by hauling it in from the seat of a kayak.

World Class Kayak Fishing Package: Just show up and we take care of everything! Includes basic trip package above...plus...lunch, rod & reel, fishing tackle & equipment, and a special orientation map session to get you on the "hot spots" and enjoy this World Class Small Mouth Bass fishery.
