MAS Low-Viscosity Resin is non-blushing, very clear, low viscosity, low odor and has easy mixing ratio's. This resin system is a SUPERIOR blend of low molecular weight epoxy resin and reactive dilutents, designed to produce a clear easy-flowing reliable system with low drip and no blush.

This is our resin of choice, over other brands, in our shop when looking for the best results on wooden boat hulls.  It also goes further since a gallon of resin is actually 1.5 gallons of mixed resin with hardener.

MAS Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin is typically used at room temperatures using your choice of MAS hardeners (Fast, Medium and Slow) in a 2:1 mix ratio (resin:hardener). MAS Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin can be used in a wide variety of applications including boat hulls and structures which need to completely exclude moisture, as well as laminating and bonding of nearly all materials. When modified with MAS fillers such as wood flower or colloidal silica the resin can be used as a filling and fairing compound with outstanding results. This resin boasts a 600 cps viscosity for smooth, easy wet-out of fiberglass lamination. The reduced viscosity of MAS Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin provides for complete wet out of fiber reinforced fabrics and reduces the potential for voids and other imperfections. MAS Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin is formulated from 100% low molecular weight reactive solids (for excellent moisture exclusion), and displays less than 1% shrinkage when cured.

MAS Slow Hardener is a highly-regarded epoxy resin hardener that's phenol-free with modified amines. When used in conjunction with MAS Epoxy Resin it provides high reactivity and an extended gel time which allows for controlled and extended application periods. Special features exhibited by this product include blush free surfaces, good ultraviolet stability, smooth finishes in cured films, excellent osmotic resistance, and the ability to cure under high humidity. MAS Slow Hardener is intended for use with MAS Epoxy Resin and can be applied in a diverse range of conditions where increased working time is required. We highly recommend formulations of MAS Slow Hardener when large surfaces are to be coated or laminated. Slow formulation cures blush free and eliminates the need for time consuming wash downs during on-going laminations and repetitive build coats. The low viscosity of MAS Slow Hardener (200-250 poise) when mixed with MAS resin is ideal for fast wet-out of reinforcing fabrics. MAS Fast Hardener may be added to the MAS Slow Hardener to speed up curing.

• Extended gel time for controlled working & cure times.
• We recommend using our Low-Viscosity Resin/Slow for large surface coating & laminating.

30 minute pot life // 4 hour Working Time // at 70°F

MAS Medium Hardener is a polyamine blend intended for moderate reactivity and resistance to amine blushing. Moderate pot life, gel, and thin film set times provide advantages when filleting and fairing. MAS Epoxy/Medium mixed with a thickener, gels and sets quickly enough to avoid draining and sagging while still allowing ample flow time for controlled application periods. We recommend this hardener when "overnight" sandibility is more important than continuous laminating and open time (as provided by MAS Slow Hardener). MAS Medium will also provide a beautifully smooth, void free finish with great resistance to milking out during application and fogging in critical clear coating applications. MAS Medium's cure speed may be adjusted by the addition of MAS Fast or MAS Slow hardeners. The 2:1 mix ratio of resin:hardener should be maintained, regardless of hardener blend.

Application Suggestions:

• Gel and thin set times are excellent for filleting and fairing.
• We recommend using Medium when overnight sanding is more important than open work time.

15 minute pot life // 3 hour Working Time // at 70°F

MAS Fast Hardener is a low viscosity hardener that allows a quick wet-out of the heavy reinforcing fabrics often used in repair applications. MAS Non-Blushing Fast Hardener is a room temperature rapid hardener for use with MAS Epoxy Resins. Fast Hardener can also be used as an accelerator for the MAS Slow or Medium Hardeners when customized cure times are required. Appropriate applications for Fast include: bonding hardware, spot filling, and fairing. Additionally, the superior bonding strength of Fast formulas is ideal for high strength secondary bonding applications such as structural tabbing and repair of laminations. The rapid cure time of Fast allows overnight curing in low temperature conditions. We do not recommend mixing more than 5 oz. of formula unless rapid application techniques are incorporated. An induction time of 1-2 minutes is recommended prior to application of formula. Application Suggestions: 

•  Quickest ambient temperature hardener.
•  We recommend using Fast for Hardware bonding, Spot Filling, Fairing, & High Strength Secondary Bonding.
