Black vinyl gunwales with an aluminum "L" bracket inside for strength and hanging components like seats, yoke, thwart and handles.
Profile is what you would see on most Wenonah T-Formex canoes but this gunwale can be used on any make or model canoe with a hull thickness of 3/8" or less.

Gunwale length can be a few inches shorter on each end of the canoe.  The gap left by the short gunwale is then covered up by ABS end caps.  So if your boat is 17' long, you should be able to get by with at least a 16'6" long gunwale as long as your end caps are at least 3.75" long.  If the gunwale is longer than your canoe, it can be trimmed to fit.

Installation requires a hand drill and rivet gun, clamps and patience will come in handy too.
